In the several years working in the tech industry, I have made financial impacts by delivering results that align with OKRs and team objectives/goals. After years of designing men’s performance physical products, I transitioned to UX design in pursuit of new challenges. My experience designing activewear, tailored to a person’s performance needs, seamlessly translated into UX design. By conducting in-depth user research and maintaining a strong focus on the end user, I have successfully driven value and delivered impressive financial outcomes.
I have made an impact as a UX manager by contributing to meeting OKRs, enhancing feature sets, and achieving department objectives. Along the way, I have honed my critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills, enabling me to address complex challenges effectively and drive meaningful outcomes.
As a person of color, I strive to challenge the underrepresentation of diversity in our industry by serving as a point of connection and inspiration. Growing up, I was not surrounded by instructors who looked like me, and this shaped my understanding of the importance of representation. By having a seat at the table, I aim to break barriers and encourage others from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue their design aspirations. I believe in fostering inclusivity and proving that these dreams are not only valid but entirely achievable.
I have seamlessly transitioned the skills gained from years of physical design experience into the tech industry, by merging my passion for creativity with the opportunities of a new field. This shift allowed me to leverage my design expertise to solve complex problems, create user-centered solutions, and drive innovation.
